One of the most sought-after comics of all time, Marvel’s Avengers No. 1, will be raffled off by Cosmic Comics as part of Free Comic Book Day May 5.
If seeing The Avengers on opening day inspires you to explore the world of comic books, there’s a perfect opportunity to do so on May 5, Free Comic Book Day. Cosmic Comics will be raffling off a copy of the original first issue of The Avengers from 1963 (no, not mint); Maximum Comics will have local artists sketching at both of its locations; Alternate Reality Comics will feature signings from comics creators; HellPop! in the Arts Factory will have local bands performing; and comics stores throughout Vegas will give away freebies and hold other special events.
