Jump on the burger train this month at Nobhill

Nobhill Tavern at MGM: a pretty fancy place to devour a delicious burger.
Nobhill Tavern at MGM Grand is going historical in celebrating May as National Burger Month. Every week throughout the month, the Michael Mina eatery is serving up a specially crafted burger inspired by early American train lines and the regions through which they traveled.
It starts off with the Silver Service, available through May 5. This train line traveled through the south from New York to Miami, so its namesake burger is topped with chow chow, a Southern take on pickled vegetables, along with onion rings and cheddar cheese. Next stop on Nobhill’s burger express is the Capital Limited, which has mustard, mayo, grilled lettuce and pickled red onions. Somehow, it represents Washington, D.C. Just go with it.
My recommendation: Wait until the end of the month, May 28-31, and indulge in the Sunset Limited—beef short-rib chili, cotija cheese and New Mexican green chile. I think I can, I think I can …
The price for each creative burger is $20, including fries. Nobhill Tavern is open for dinner only: Tuesday-Thursday from 5:30 to 10 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 5 to 10 p.m.
