If your weekend’s not complete without a couple pints of something tasty, make your way to Aces & Ales Saturday evening for Uinta Tap Night. Hosted by the Salt Lake City brewery’s Joe Mastrorocco, the selection is slated to include rare Uinta brews that even its fans may not have sampled, like Anniversary Barley Wine and Cockeyed Cooper. The beer starts flowing at 5 p.m., and the first 36 brews purchased come with free glassware and T-shirts.
Panorama—that pair of massive, glassy condos just west of the Strip—has long been known as an industry dorm. Take a stroll through the lobby and you’re likely to bump into DJs, go-gos, security and other nightlifers, heading home or on their way to the office. This Friday, Panorama residents get their own mixer at 1 OAK, receiving free admission and an open bar until 12:30 a.m. If you’re a resident, reap the rewards, and if you’re in the market for new digs, consider this an opportunity to scope out potential neighbors.
Nightlife can be a right-place, right-time kind of game, and partiers who hit Tao last Saturday night were right where they wanted to be. Not only did DJs Samantha Ronson and Vice engage in a friendly cross-booth battle, but rapper Busta Rhymes also showed up to wish his manager a happy birthday and give an impromptu performance. As if that wasn’t enough, guests could also play spot-the-celebrity, with Joe Jonas, Jessica Szohr and Vinny from Jersey Shore all stopping by the Venetian club.
