Take a look at the Weekly’s club grid and it will be easy to see that Las Vegas has a lockdown on great EDM this Memorial Day weekend. The unofficial summer season opener has attracted many of the world’s top DJs and electronic acts, some even playing two sets throughout the revelry.
The deal is even sweeter for our LGBT friends as the Matinee Las Vegas Festival, a series of dance music events geared towards the gay community, returns to add to the EDM overload. It seems Matinee’s event producers just couldn’t wait to party, as last year’s installment occurred during Independence Day weekend.
The four-day fest starts tonight at the off-Strip Share Nightclub with a performance by dance music artist Erika Jayne, and ends on Memorial Day with a pool party at the Rumor Boutique Hotel. Other highlights include an exclusive evening at the Hard Rock Hotel’s now-closed Body English nightclub, a poolside performance by pop star Kimberly Cole and a “special surprise” during the Sunday night party at Rain Nightclub at the Palms.
So if you’re looking to get your dance on this weekend, consider Matinee. Tickets for individual events are from $30 to $99, with weekend passes starting at $239. For more details on Matinee, visit matineevegas.com.
