Thinking about Mitt Romney, ‘Mad Men’ and more

    • Giving notice

Is it just me or did the universe shift when Peggy decided to leave Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce on Mad Men? I don’t know what’s more worrisome: the future of the firm, the fact that Joan’s new 5 percent stake might not be worth much, or how involved I have become with these imaginary characters. —Brock Radke, web & food editor

    • Company you keep

Dear Mitt: You had the chance to salvage a shred of dignity by distancing yourself from birther Donald Trump, but instead you’re campaigning with him. The crazy train continues. —Ken Miller, associate editor

    • Case closed

Bought a new iPad case for $30. The back of the package actually said, “iPad not included.” Thus staving off the silliest lawsuit imaginable. —Rick Lax, staff writer

    • Stripped

Lots of media outlets are doing their annual “get fit for swimsuit season” stories. Seems to me if our society were nudist, obesity wouldn’t be nearly as rampant. —Erin Ryan, staff writer

    • Hungry affair

In hindsight, maybe taking my low-fat-diet boyfriend to Epicurean Affair last week wasn’t the best idea. I enjoyed a feast of duck confit arancini, sliders and pistachio gelato. He left hungry. —Sarah Feldberg, editor
