Starting today and running through November 18, those who dine on special tasting menus at celebrity chef Scott Conant’s Scarpetta and D.O.C.G. restaurants at the Cosmopolitan will be helping out City Harvest, a New York City organization delivering food to victims of Hurricane Sandy.

Conant crafted the special menus and will donate $20 from each sold to the relief effort. The seasonal tasting menu features seared diver scallops with celery root, guanciale and riesling-mustard reduction, ricotta raviolini with Parmesan froth and shaved white truffles, spiced duck breast with butternut squash, pickled raisins and foie gras emulsion, and warm pumpkin bread for dessert with butterscotch flan and pistachi gelato. The cost is $115 per person plus $60 for wine pairing. The pasta tasting menu, $80 per person plus $45 with wine, features pumpkin casonsei with amaretti cookies and pepperoncino, that ricotta raviolini dish for course two, duck and foie gras ravioli with marsala reduction, and again with the pumpkin bread dessert.

Both menus are available at both restaurants, located together on the third floor of the Cosmopolitan. Conant, a native New Yorker, also operates restaurants in New York, Toronto, Miami and Beverly Hills.
