The Joint's current residents are still rocking, and the Las Vegas venue has already announced its next run.
British quintet Def Leppard, whose discography includes two platinum-certified albums, has followed in the footsteps of Mötley Crüe and Guns N' Roses by signing on for multiple shows inside the Hard Rock Hotel. The band will play nine shows there in 2013: March 22, 23, 27, 29 and 30 and April 3, 5, 6 and 10. Tickets start at $49.50 and go on sale this Friday, November 16 at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster.
Def Leppard's residency—titled "Viva Hysteria!"—will feature a full live rendition of chart-topping 1987 album Hysteria, which includes the hit singles "Pour Some Sugar on Me," "Love Bites," "Armageddon It," "Rocket" and "Animal." Today's press release also promises "an elaborate set design created only for Def Leppard's Las Vegas residency" and "an encore performance highlighting other classic material from throughout the band's career."
Mötley Crüe played 12 shows at the Joint in February for its "Mötley Crüe in Sin City" residency. Guns N' Roses has five shows remaining in its "Appetite for Democracy" residency: November 14, 17, 18, 21, 23 and 24.
