2-minute interview: the guy on the Strip who looks like Zach Galifianakis
Thu, Nov 15, 2012 (6:39 p.m.)
Thursday, November 15, 2012 | 3:07 p.m. | The Strip, between Caesars Palace and Mirage
How long have you been doing this? I just started this year, in June.
Have you pretended to be other characters? Just this. This is my purpose in life.
Your beard is real, I assume? Yes. Absolutely.
Do people ask that a lot? Sometimes they ask me. Sometimes women pull at it, guys pull at it. I've had people bite it.
That's a little weird. You tell me. That costs extra.
Have you been mistaken for Zach Galifianakis when you weren't pretending to be him? That's how this all started. And actually, I was a double and a stand-in for him during filming for [The Hangover] part three. It was fun meeting him and talking with him.
This strikes me as something Galifianakis might actually do. So you could be him, for all I know. I get that a lot. He was actually out here Sunday night, hanging out incognito.
Did he ask for a picture with you? Oh, you know, high-profile celebrity. It was tough for him. He was kinda on the DL.
Where did you get your man-purse? It's a satchel. There's Skittles in there.
