Get ready for Shuck & Swallow at First Food & Bar

‘Tis the season for an oyster eating competition. You didn’t know?
The fourth annual Shuck & Swallow charity event to benefit Three Square begins at 3 p.m. Wednesday, October 3, at First Food & Bar at Palazzo. Santa Monica Seafood will be donating all the oysters, which will be shucked (opened) and swallowed by various Vegas chefs, racing to see who can consume the most briny bivalves in ten minutes. The winners will be announced and the post-competition after party is set to begin at 3:30 p.m.
As much fun as that sounds, the best parts will be the food and drink specials at First, the proceeds of which will be donated to our local food bank. And ... this year’s event them is “Sailors & Staches” and costumes are encouraged.
