DJ Mag released its Top 100 DJs list today, counting down the results from No. 100 to 6 by tweeting each winner with their handle and a fun fact about them (usually their position in 2011’s poll). We hit the DJ Mag website to find out who took the top 5 spots, and after about an hour and a half of building anticipation, the magazine revealed that Dutch DJ/producer Armin Van Buuren had taken the title this year.
Reigning at No. 1 for four straight years, Van Buuren was knocked off the top spot in 2011 by French DJ David Guetta. The Marquee regular will celebrate his triumphant return to the top of the list with a special set at the club next Saturday night (October 27).
Rounding out the Top 10:
10. Skrillex
9. Afrojack
8. Above & Beyond
7. Dash Berlin
6. Hardwell
5. Deadmau5
4. David Guetta
3. Avicii
2. Tiesto
