Red Rock, Green Valley steakhouses serving up Florida stone crab
Mon, Oct 29, 2012 (10:20 a.m.)
The sleek surroundings at T-Bones Chophouse make for a great place to feast on seasonal Florida stone crab.
It's stone crab season, and two top dining destinations at Station Casinos properties are ready to serve 'em up. T-Bones Chophouse at Red Rock Resort and Hank's Fine Steaks at Green Valley Ranch Resort are serving jumbo fresh Florida stone crabs, flown in fresh daily. The crab claws, available in orders of three ($58), six ($99) and nine ($135), have been harvested sustainably in accordance with the Monterrey Bay Aquarium's Best Choice practice of removing only one claw from the animal and then putting it back in the water so it can regenerate its limb. The claws are served pre-cracked with dijon dipping sauce.
Another new special at T-Bones is true Japanese Wagyu beef from Saga, Japan, the highest quality grade of Japanese beef available. The price for a 6-ounce portion of this fatty, flavorful Wagyu is $125, and $20 for each additional ounce.
