The Details

- 605 Mall Ring Circle #110, 566-4622.

Whether you’re stoned or sober, the menu at Mix N Mac is a series of delicious dilemmas. Should you stick with the creamy goodness of plain-but-perfect mac and cheese, complete with crispy bits on top, or should you customize your own from a list of toppings that includes Doritos, bacon, chicken, crawfish, basil and cilantro? Should you play safe with a solo size mac or jump up to the “BFF” size, or—gasp!—the “OMG” size? And then will you have any room left for some sweet peach cobbler?
Located in the space adjacent to the Galleria mall that once housed the Atomic No. 7 ice creamery, Mix N Mac is a fun and satisfying place to eat. There are sandwiches and salads to round out the mac and cheese mischief, and you don’t have to create your own recipe. There’s spicy mac and chili mac and pizza mac, and my favorite, Mex mac ($7.49), full of jalapeños, chorizo and ground beef and topped with crunched-up tortilla chips. Can’t lose.
