The U.S. women’s gymnastics team provided some of the most memorable moments at the 2012 London Olympics as they flipped and twisted their way to Olympic gold. Gabby Douglas, with her high-flying release moves and infectious smile, became the first black gymnast to win the coveted all-around title. Aly Raisman, the team’s captain and oldest member at 18, won gold on the floor exercise with a routine that brought the crowd to its feet. And McKayla Maroney, arguably the world’s best vaulter, had to settle for a meme after a fall cost her the gold, and her “I’m not impressed with my silver” scowl became an Internet sensation.

Since returning to the U.S. the “Fierce Five” have been busy. They’ve attended parades in their honor and exchanged tweets with some of their favorite celebrities. They’ve appeared on David Letterman, The Colbert Report and the MTV Video Music Awards.
If you’re in need of a post-Olympic gymnastics fix, you’re in luck. On September 20, the Kellogg’s Tour of Gymnastics Champions stops at the Thomas & Mack Center for an exhibition that’s sure to dazzle. Nastia Liukin, the 2008 Olympic all-around champion, joins the group (apart from Maroney, who suffered an injury at the tour’s second stop), along with other members of the men’s and women’s 2011 World Championships and 2012 Olympic teams, for a showcase of athleticism and artistry.
