Last weekend, fall officially arrived. Your cooler-climate Facebook friends might be changing their profile pics (think: sweaters and crisp autumn leaves), but here in Vegas, the blue skies and sunny rays keep us in a summer state of mind, for at least a little while longer.
Celebrate our extended season with Sage’s Pink Lemonade. This light and refreshing libation is an amuse-bouche cocktail. Aria’s Beverage Director Michael Shetler explains, “The acidity from the lemon juice works very well with the delicate nature of the Lillet Rouge. The gin gives it spicy botanical notes. They all blend to liven your taste buds.” But the real kicker is the price. Guests dining at Sage’s bar can enjoy a glass of Pink Lemonade on the house. The end of summer never tasted so sweet.
Pink Lemonade
Ingredients:
1 oz. Beefeater gin
1 oz. Lillet Rouge
1 oz. fresh lemon juice
1 oz. simple syrup
Method: Combine all ingredients in a mixing glass with ice. Shake vigorously and strain over fresh ice in a highball glass. (Shetler’s version is poured through an ice-filled absinthe balancier. This step isn’t necessary, but it does create a perfectly blended libation.)
