New York City Ballet The respected and revered ballet company presents Moves, an evening of noted works by Jerome Robbins, Peter Martins, Christopher Wheeldon and co-founder George Balanchine. March 5 & 6, 7:30 p.m., $26-$149, Smith Center’s Reynolds Hall.

Carrie Underwood She almost certainly won’t bring her crazy Grammy-night projection dress to town, but she will have her hit-stuffed catalog (count ’em: 11 No. 1s in seven years), and that’s what matters most, right? With Hunter Hayes, May 2, 7:30 p.m., $46-$66, Mandalay Bay Events Center.
Bob Weir Jerry Garcia died 18 years ago, but the Grateful Dead’s adventurous musical spirit lives on through the band’s “other” singer/guitarist. Show him your love will not fade away. March 1, 8 p.m., $50-$75, the Pearl.

Bill Cosby You might have grown up watching him on TV, but his stand-up—focused mostly on family dynamics—is where he really shines. He’ll hit you where it hurts to laugh. March 1, 8 p.m., $65-$87, Treasure Island.
EAT
Naked City Swine & Wine Chris Palmeri’s pizza shop is already one of our favorite places to grab a slice. This Sunday the chef ditches his regular menu for a five-course dinner celebrating porcine goodness and craft wines. Chocolate dipped bacon with maple gelato, anyone? March 3, 6 p.m., $50, Naked City Pizza Shop inside Moondoggies, 3240 Arville St.
Carnival lasts all year at the Rio. With a float occasionally passing overhead and dropping beads while feathered dancers fire up the gamblers below, the Rio tries to keep its 120,000-square foot casino jumping with excitement. Special Brazilian mixed-drinks are also served throughout the casino. The hotel suites tend to be larger than similar priced rooms on the Strip and many offer excellent views with floor to ceiling windows.
The Rio offers some quality shows like "Penn & Teller" and "Chippendales." Many come to the Rio for the nightlife at the VooDoo Lounge, located on the 51st floor, or McFadden's Irish Pub on the casino level.
Others come for a bit relaxation at the Rio Spa or pool area and still others come to shop at the hotel's 60,000 square feet of shops. In each of these endeavors, the Rio attempts to make the experience a bit more fun and spontaneous.
The Rio also offers guests a variety of dining choices from all-American food at the All-American Bar & Grille to Gaylord India Restaurant for something a little spicier and even Carnival World Buffet for the indecisive.
