Comedy Central greats gather for Las Vegas weekend

Dave Attell will be part of the “Comedy Central Vegas” weekend, February 22-23.

It’s been a while since Las Vegas had its own comedy festival, but this comes close: MGM Grand and the Mirage have partnered with Comedy Central to bring some of comedy’s funniest performers to Vegas for a “Comedy Central Vegas” weekend.

On February 22 and 23, get a comedy overload courtesy of Dave Attell, Jim Norton, Amy Schumer, Nick Swardson and Anthony Jeselnik.

Attell, known for Imsomniac and his current Showtime series Dave’s Old Porn, and Norton, of Opie & Anthony, Jay Leno and Louie fame, perform at the MGM Grand Hollywood Theatre at 9 p.m. Friday and 8 p.m. Saturday. Tickets are $60, $70 and $80.

The other three comics will all perform at the Mirage’s Terry Fator Theatre. Tickets for each show are $40.

Schumer, who will be embarking on a Comedy Central stand-up tour on February 28 and has a new series, Inside Amy Schumer, debuting in April on Comedy Central, performs at 10 p.m. Friday.

Swardson, best known for his recurring role as Terry Bernardino on Reno 911! and his Comedy Central sketch series, Nick Swardson’s Pretend Time, performs at 7:30 p.m. Saturday.

Jeselnik is quickly becoming a mainstay at Comedy Central’s celebrity roasts, including those of Donald Trump, Charlie Sheen and Roseanne. He performs at 10 p.m. Saturday.
