Punk Rock Bowling adds Devo, Turbonegro, The Weirdos to 2013 lineup

Punk Rock Bowling revealed an extended set of add-ons to its 2013 lineup Monday, with New Wave punk heroes Devo joining previously announced headliners Bad Religion, The Damned and Black Flag tribute group Flag. Other raucous favorites added to the lineup include The Weirdos, Turbonegro, U.S. Bombs, The Casualties, Channel 3 and Belgium’s Funeral Dress.
The new additions join a set of bands confirmed earlier this month featuring the aforementioned headliners as well as D.R.I., Subhumans, Lagwagon, Bouncing Souls, Swingin’ Utters and Lower Class Brats.
The festival’s 15th annual edition will take place May 25-27 in downtown’s Fremont East District, with more than 70 bands slated to play throughout the weekend. Venues and schedules for the three day, four night outdoor festivities are to be announced.
The bowling portion of the festival, which offers up more than $15,000 in prize money, will be held at Sam’s Town and the Gold Coast. Returning bowlers can register from January 14 through February 15, with a waiting list available for new teams hoping to get in on the action.
Weekend passes for the festival, priced at $105, go on sale Tuesday, Jan. 29. at 1 p.m. through a Punkrockbowling.com.
