The Details
- BISCUITS 2 BURGERS
- 9700 W. Tropicana Ave., 570-6877.
- Daily, 8 a.m.-3 p.m.
Spoiler alert: Biscuits 2 Burgers’ menu is dominated by biscuits and burgers. Though I prefer flaky buttermilk biscuits myself, the biscuit sliders ($6.75)—with your choice of meat, egg and cheese—are a solid option at this spot on Tropicana west of Rampart. The burgers, on the other hand, are better than average, a simple preparation of good meat grilled with a hint of salt and pepper. Options include the New York (with pastrami), California (with avocado) and Hawaiian (with pineapple)—all $6.50 and made to order. Still, the most interesting aspect of Biscuits 2 Burgers is undoubtedly its futuristic orange juicing contraption: the Zumex. Marvel at its power as whole oranges are juiced before your very eyes. The show alone is worth the $2.25, even if you don’t like burgers or biscuits.
