Five things we’re loving about Liquid

Break out the sunscreen. Aria is getting in on the party pool season with Liquid.

Now that we’ve seen it, we’re positively salivating over the impending arrival of Liquid Pool Lounge at Aria. The 16,000-square-foot enclosure—a sleek, masculine big brother to the smaller, flirty, more feminine Bare Pool—drops a modern, exotic tropical Tahitian experience into the heart of Aria’s pool complex. It’s all in the details:

The digs: 1,200-square-foot main pool plus two VIP pools on elevated patios; 85 hand-woven, oversized chaise longues by Janus Et Cie; 35 daybeds and 16 private cabanas; 40-inch TVs and the usual finery.

The amenities: A 50-seat restaurant with covered patio offers on-site dining with a complete menu, as well as more traditional, light poolside fare. Cooling misters built into every wall.

The sound: Three white, low-profile, custom John Lyons speaker towers give more sound in a less bulky speaker stack. DJ booth is cut out from a white serpentine wall with Jedi-esque neon light bars.

The look: Earthy, muted textiles play off dark woods, white umbrellas, gleaming white concrete floors and textured walls, making for an intimate, modern, tropical sanctuary designed by Graft Lab (Stack, Fix, Brand restaurants).

The taste: Delicious, thanks to Light Group house mixologist Ken Hall. Cocktail menu features fresh fruit, antioxidant-conscious “healthy” cocktails. Signature cocktail: the Liquid Passion. Bottle service and pitcher service available.

Liquid soft-opens March 18 and grand-opens April 8 with guest DJ Tiesto. Open Thursday through Sunday, 10 a.m.-6 p.m., plus select nighttime parties.
