What: Electric Daisy Carnival, the country’s largest annual dance-music festival, taking place in Las Vegas for the second straight summer. (If you don’t know what EDC is by now, it probably isn’t for you.)

Who: A crap-ton of DJs and other electronic music acts, from the superfamous to the relatively unknown. For the full lineup and set times, visit electricdaisycarnival.com.

When: June 8-10, 7 p.m.-5:30 a.m. (yes, 5:30 a.m.).

Where: Las Vegas Motor Speedway, 7000 Las Vegas Blvd. N., located some 20 miles north of town.

Directions: Two options: 1. I-15 north, exit on Speedway Blvd.; 2. Las Vegas Blvd. north to Checkered Flag Lane. If you choose the latter and you’re coming from the east side, taking Nellis Blvd. north to Las Vegas Blvd. could save you some time.

Parking: Free at the Speedway. Just make sure you get your car out each morning or it’ll get towed. Also, some spots are pretty far away, so we recommend comfortable shoes.

Tickets: Sold out, but lots are being offered on Craigslist and eBay. Three-day passes originally sold for $275.

Ages: 18 and up, though VIP areas are 21 and over.

Shuttles: Picking up at 12 casinos throughout the festival. Weekend passes—sold out and originally priced at $70—were available on Craigslist at press time.

Weather: That cool spell that passed through town this week? Gone by the weekend, according to Weather.com, which has the Speedway hitting 101 and 98 on Friday and Saturday. Sunday is supposed to get cooler (93), and Saturday and Sunday nights should bottom out near 70, so plan accordingly.

Bring: Your ID, entry pass, cell phone (charged!), earplugs, small backpacks (12x12 max), Insomniac water bottles (which can be refilled for free) and sealed cigarettes. Also, fanny packs are acceptable ... at least by rule.

Don’t bring: Tents, chairs, coolers, pens, pacifiers, eyedrops, stuffed animals, food, drinks and weapons. Oh, and pets. Don’t bring your pets to EDC.
