If the glamorized mega pools of the Strip aren’t your style, then seek out the secluded, private pool at The Artisan Hotel, located off the beaten tourist track on the corner of Sahara and Highland. The small Mediterranean-style pool is surrounded by lush vegetation and decorated with sculptures and vases – an idyllic setting for a relaxing get-together with friends or a romantic rendezvous. The pool plays host to free open-to-the-public, adults-only parties on Sundays. If you want to go any other day, book an art-crammed room and take a mini-vacay at this local haven. An oasis of downtown culture, intimacy and romantic ambiance, The Artisan’s swanky lounge and Italian restaurant keep sunbathers well fed and watered with poolside food and beverage service. Not quite the same thing as sunbathing at a Mediterranean villa on the isle of Capri, but a helluva lot cheaper.
