All the usual suspects are on the menu at this diminutive Cuban restaurant, tucked into an East Tropicana strip mall. You’d be wise to start with a fruit batido, then dig into a basket of freshly toasted Cuban bread that will leave your fingers glistening with butter.

We began with sweet fried bananas along with garlic bread. It has been several years since we last dined at this restaurant so we each ordered an entree that we had enjoyed in the past. Ann chose salmon al mango -- seared salmon with mango sauce and vegetable rice. I ordered pollo tequila -- seared marinated chicken breast in fresh herbs with tequila sauce and chipotle served with vegetable rice. Both dishes were good, but my chicken was slightly dry. Prices are very reasonable and portions are ample so we ordered a flan to go in order to meet the minimum $35 purchase requirement. 3 forks out of a possible 5.
Note: the flan received a 4 Fork rating when consumed later in the evening.
