We were staying at the South Point and my wife was under the weather so either had take out or dined at the deli three times on our vacation.

My wife had a cold and a desire chicken soup so I went downstairs and purchased a large container of chicken noodle soup for her. It proved to be a hearty broth with an ample supply of both chicken and vegetables.

For dinner one night I ordered takeout, a corned beef sandwich on rye which came with a small container of potato salad and 12 sour pickle slices. The corned beef was plentiful though a bit dry, but served to quelch our appetites.

On another afternoon my wife went to the deli and had her 2nd helping of the chicken noodle soup,

I'm a local. We discovered this deli after going to the movies a few weeks ago at Southpoint. I was delighted to find this deli so close to home. Their pastrami is awesome! especially for Las Vegas. While it's not as good as Katz's in NYC, its a close 2nd. Their cake slices are very generous and reasonable. Overall, a great value.

This was our evening to watch the rodeo in its entirety so we settled in at the Grandview Lounge early and nursed our drinks. After the rodeo we were only mildly hungry so we shared a corned beef on rye accompanied by a side of potato salad from the Del Mar Deli. 3 Forks out of a possible 5.

We shared a corned beef sandwich on rye with a side off potato salad. The meat was lien and very tasty. We also managed to consume a very large Napoleon that was also pretty good. ($16.25, 3 Forks)

We also stopped by the deli a few times in the morning for one of their large size bagels which we had toasted and brought back to the room. These bagels would be a disappointment in Brooklyn, but weren't bad for a deli in a casino.
