We strongly recommend you fake a food poisoning incident, skip work, leave your Blackberry on the kitchen counter (take the iPod) and spend the day marinating on one of the bright orange, cushiony lounge chairs at the upscale adults-only Moorea Beach Club. Open only to hotel guests on the weekends, weekdays welcome locals at a discounted price, and sometimes with free cabanas. Feel free to lose your inhibitions along with your top. Every hour, obsequious pool attendants will bring you iced towels, frozen grapes, facial misters and lavender and Mai Tai body sprays to cool you off and make you feel like royalty. Yup, you’ve just scored a first-class ticket to Blissville (make sure it’s a roundtrip ticket; the bills won’t pay themselves). The three-story Moorea Casino, apart from the regular casino on pool grounds, has blackjack tables, roulette and a retail shop. Weekly locals’ nights draw a crowd to this sophisticated spot. Like moths to a flame, it’s irresistible.
