True to its name, calligraphic lines of poetry grace various surfaces, from the napkins to the floor to the walls to the ceiling. Eye-catching accents like Swarovski crystal chandeliers, provocative murals and bountiful blossoming roses may get you in the mood. The music will too—lots of good, danceable hip-hop—and so will your fellow clubbers, who could include Carmen Electra, Snoop Dogg, Playboy playmates, professional boxers or NFL players. Wander through the gothic “Hall of Trees,” then visit the gallery of Victorian silhouettes. A closer look will reveal that they are the images of celebrities who have made their mark on the club as VIP hosts and guests. If a taste of sophisticated entertainment has you hungering for more, check out the battle of the sexes poetry slam on Thursdays.
