The name refers to a design aesthetic, not Southwest cuisine, conspicuously absent. A lot of money has been spent on this ultra-modern space, which features a fire pit, lots of art, and a parquet floor. The eclectic menu from Michael Ingingo, a Gustav Mauler protege, has everything from satay to shrimp bisque.

We drove out Flamingo to the 215 beltway where we had Open Table reservations at this very contemporary restaurant. Much of the bar area was taken up by a good sized wedding party and the noise level on this Sunday evening was very high. I chose the fresh Alaskan halibut with chorizo, new potato, zucchini and clams finished in a saffron beurre blanc. My counterpart ordered the pepper crusted Ahi tuna, served with Provencal vegetable relish, roasted eggplant whipped potatoes and lemon oil. Both entrees were delicious, but Ms. Westie's won this evening's award for best entree. 4.5 out of 5 Forks.
