Teppanyaki tables sizzle as chefs perform the nightly ritual of preparing beef, chicken and seafood dishes with an Asian flair. And if raw is what you're looking for, Shizen also features an effusive sushi bar.

We found this restaurant to be beautifully decorated with a nice view to the manicured gardens, but it was largely unoccupied on a Sunday evening. We started with potato croquettes (good) and soft shell crab (terrible). The crab was unrecognizable, overcooked, tasteless and overpriced. We each ordered the misoyaki butterfish, black cod (moist and delicious) which was accompanied by miso soup (fair), salad (dressing congealed due to refrigeration - poor), rice and green tea.
