Although it’s located smack-dab in the heart of downtown, The Tank at the Golden Nugget feels like a ritzy seaside resort in the midst of the concrete and desert.
Guests of all ages will get a thrill from zooming down a three-story waterslide that carves a path through a 200,000 gallon aquarium filled with exotic fish, sharks and stingrays.
For those more focused on getting bronzed, seating choices include wicker sofas, beds and lounge chairs half-submerged in the pool for the ideal sun to water ratio.
The Tank is free for hotel guests, but non-guests can get in Monday through Friday. The cover charge for adults is $20, for children ages 3 to 11, $15, and free for those under age 3. The Tank is open only to hotel guests on the weekends.
