Travelling from Europe to Las Vegas I had read about Wichcraft and Tom Colicchio. Unfortunately I never heard about this chef in Europe. So I was curious to see that place. The Wichcraft restaurant is located in MGM's foodmall and I was first impressed by the cleanliness and the fresh outlook of the place (in most restaurants in America I found that they are not clean as we in Europe we are used to). Yes, the place is not big, but there are tables and seats to have your sandwich inside or outside in MGMs inside mall's street. None of the surrounding restaurants or shops are cheap, that I knew, so I did not expect very low prices. But I think $ 8 - 13 for a big pannini with that much of delicious layers of whatever you choose is perfect and not pricey.
I did not wait long in line and was talking to 2 of the women working there, especially Sandra was very very friendly and helpful.
Then the manager Mr. Jon came by and showed me the menu and explained some of the sandwiches and ended up bringing me the sandwich and my drink to the table, which I found extremely perfect and friendly.
The place was full of people who had lunch and even then there was enough space to find a chair.
I had a pannini with mozzarella cheese and cut olives and it tasted perfect. Even the sourdough bread was toasted to perfection. And it was a big sandwich, the size I'd never had expected. I really enjoyed my quick lunch there and if you at MGMs and like toasted sandwiches go there and have one!
The restaurant is open 10am to 5 pm. They have breakfast sandwiches as well.
