Incredibly helpful advice (puhleez) from yet another brainless hard dick who knows nothing about the stripper experience. For the record when we're done laughing at you in the dressing room we roll our eyes then go back out on the main floor to take the rest of your money.

1) The rules are unclear, everywhere I've ever worked (7 cities in 2 states)
2) The ones that are clear are obsolete and need to be changed to better reflect modern times not to mention LOGIC
3) "you have nothing to worry about" is a load of crap - none of us need a record, fines, hassles, or unfair treatment by law enforcement
4) two words - consenting adults (get it???)
5) two more - violent crime (as in, going unchecked due to cops wasting time with nonviolent "crimes" in strip clubs)

Bless you, sweetie, for taking the words right out of my mouth (and off my blog where I write about this constantly). Never stop fighting this fight. Erotic and emotional labor are valuable and beautiful but what's happened to this industry over the past 10-20 years is aplorable. I've stripped in the 80s, 90s, and 00s (5 years at the Crazy Horse Too) and miss the ways of the old days. So much.

And Awol, waitressing is demeaning, exhausting work, with strict schedules and massive competition for the few good (high end) jobs. Every single stripper I know (hundreds, as I am one for 13 years now) who ever waitressed would NEVER go back. Just FYI.
