My husband and I just participated in a food drive held by our friends , Stray Cat MC, this previous Saturday which benefitted Three Square. Total donations acquiured equaled 562lbs of food! People really need to do all they can to help this organization out. They're great people (at Three Square) and they're doing SO much good for the community. Who knows.....you may need them someday.
It's more and more clear that those who claim to defend PETA have absolutely no knowledge of the inner workings of this cesspool organization. Duped, fooled, taken, conned.....those titles are reserved for the sanctimoniously stupid, self-righteous ego-maniacs who think PETA is actually saving animals.
And they smell really, really wonderful after sweating like pigs in that garb. (note: sarcasm)
There are certain procedures required for certain foods...however, when it comes down to something as individual as seasoning levels and what-have-you...it's nothing to chastise a chef for. Some like it hot, some like it salty, some like it peppery.....but there's no status-quo for any of those things. A judge's 'personal' tastes for something should not even figure into what is otherwise a great dish.
I was seriously let down by the anti-climactic launch of the new season, too. Starting to worry that they may be running out of things to take issue with (although I can think of a never-ending list, personally). Still love em; always will. Go P&T!!
I just went and checked out YELP for the first time. I have to agree with this chef's verbal paddling of the general populace reviewing restaurants on there. They know not of whence they speak, to put it mildly. We've all had crappy experiences at certain restaurants/bistros/etc, but that doesn't necessarily mean that's not the exception. Even the finest establishments have off nights.
