I heard D7's music before I ever saw photo's of them, and loved it. When I saw the girls, well, that sealed the deal. Yeah, so there are some obvious influences, but they're the RIGHT influences! As for "badges and pins", get real, this ain't pop, it's about attitude, not some purist definition of what "punk" should or shouldn't be.
D7's music is actually better than in needs to be, given the "scene" in Las Vegas, and I really do have to laugh at remarks about implants.. in 2010? In America?
Enough of the hating already, although it's a good sign really, isn't it? If you think they suck so hard, do it yourself. THAT'S Punk.
Whew!!! There's a lot of hate in the room. NO-ONE in music just appears out of nowhere, unless it's on some bs TV talent show. So Pride actually DID things before D7? Gosh! She did things alright, and they were all connected with performing, which she has a God-given talent for. It's in her blood ( not the fake stuff, her actual blood ). I notice quite a few personal attacks up there, which I assume are from one of her crazed stalkers. That comes with the territory I guess, people who are totally useless and off the radar never get stalked, do they?
Hating is generally a projection of the hater's own self-loathing and intellectual impotence, and it shouldn't be encouraged on here.
Pride will carry on regardless of the jealousy, with or without D7, because she has to express herself.
Call it punk, art, whatever you like, but if you think you can do better, go right ahead. Then there might actually be a "Vegas Scene", and you'd be contributing to it in a positive way. But that would take hard work.....and BALLS. You heard of them, haters?
