"Why didn't you have the guts to talk to Richards about this directly?"

Do you really think it's appropriate for a journalist to "confront" an interviewee in the middle of an interview? What would that do to the journalist's credibility and appearance of objectivity?

I applaud Steve for handling the situation so professionally in the face of such bigotry.
