I do agree that it is interesting. I am a mother of three and would be excited to have an article written about them. I too would be quite proud, as you are. However I would hope that it would be accurate. I would hope the journalist would take fact and truth rather then assumptions. Also I would hope the words that came out of their mouth would not be tweaked in any manner. I find the author in this case did not use the integrity that was entrusted on him by these young individuals. More so, I think he has focused too much in the negative aspects and not how they have grown. We all know our lives are different and that in short bouts of time lives can be drastically changed. In my opinion, the journalist should have been more encouraging to some of these young adults. Yes, they are adults although, young adults.
Let me just say I am happy that I am able to comment on this article, so thank you to whomever made the decision to allow IT to include this comment box on the website.
That said, this article absolutely disappoints me as well as disgusts me. I have found journalism to be a great way for the reader to view the world through some one's opinion as well as the journalist to be able to voice that same opinion. In the case of this article the author is grossly misleading. Terribly, I have the honor of knowing first hand the way the journalist has twisted his conversations and manipulated personal texts to mold the way these young adults are portrayed. These kids have grown up just the way each of us has grown up. Each of us is on a different path and each of us is in a new day. The fact that decisions are made whether good or bad are in no way to be judged in someone else's eyes. I understand this is all opinion of the author but I find that he has strong-armed the wording so that the reader has only but one judgment to make about each of these people.
My opinion is this of the author". Maybe he needs to find something a little more important to write about rather then meddling in the past lives of people who are still shaping who they are. The story is still not over with these young people. It is sad that they trusted him.
Good luck to all who were involved with this art. Congratulations that you had such an experience as this.
I do not intend to sound "sour". I just find the article misleading. I hope all who read it may be inspired.
