What an amazing article and insight into DJ AM, My thoughts and prayers go out to his loved ones, who by watching the memorial video and reading messages, loved him dearly and left a huge void for many. He was certainly blessed and gifted but I get the sense his friends and family and fans were just as blessed to have someone like him in their lives. I first became interested in DJ AM through his collaboration with Travis and thought that what they had come up with was the greatest thing ever, it was new,it was different, and it was something no one had done before or perhaps even envisioned. I am saddened by the fact that since his passing I have watched nearly every youtube video of his live gigs and will never be able to witness it. Coincidently, I noticed the HUGE billboard (in NYC) for his co-owned nightclub DUSK in AC located right before you enter the Lincoln Tunnel and just days before his passing said to myself, I HAVE TO GO THERE NEXT TIME HE DJ'S and I will never get that opportunity. Now when leaving work and I see that billboard - it saddens me and immediately I think of all the people (fans and loved ones) that miss him dearly. Once again my thoughts and prayers go out to you all. May he rest in peace and may those most affected by his passing find peace as well.
