I knew the STAGE DOOR CASINO very well in the late 70's. For all it "isn't"; it is. . . the ugly goose that lays the golden eggs. If it's not broken why fix it?
I was Ron Markin's 3rd wife. We shared a time of great happiness in Beverly Hills and Las Vegas.
There is more to Ron Markin than just another "Vegas" guy. In fact, the Stage Door remains among the few significant casinos of "nostalgia" left -- surrounded by the sad circus Vegas has become. It's common, it's comfortable for many locals and tourist, its "retro". Leave it alone.
Ron Markin was the love of my life and a wonderful, wonderful man and human being. Few still exist of his contribution and character in Las Vegas.
