The math nerd in me would like to point out that this formula should've been:

(Jon - Kate + 8) x Vegas = Douchebag

The way you have it, Vegas gets multiplied into each of the entities inside the (). So your formula, written out, is actually

Jon - (Kate x Vegas) + (8 x Vegas) = Douchebag.

Come to think of it, that would actually mean that Jon abandoned Kate in Vegas but brought his 8 kids, which also would make him a douchebag. Any which way...

Hi Drew. This piece was filed on Monday, long before the actual final table was set -- less than 12 hours ago as I type. So, sure, Ivey is a very notable exception. Beyond him, Shulman is known in poker circles but not anywhere beyond that, and the other seven guys are total unknowns. Given that, "most if not all" is absolutely accurate and is also, incidentally, not an "absolute." It was written specifically to hedge against the prospect that someone whose notoriety goes beyond the poker world made it in. Ivey is that guy. Shulman less so, but I'll give you him and I *still* have 7 of 9 unknowns. That's not just "most." That's "almost all."

Chuck: Well, yes. And that's the other reason why this all matters. Because there IS a public safety aspect to this that has bearing on future shows involving wild animals.

bavarian: Actually, that is provably UNtrue. Anyone who works with animals or have a hand in raising animals will tell you that the animal always retains its innate wildness and can revert to those instincts at any moment no matter how badly a human may vainly believe he/she has some supernatural connection with the beast. There is not a single tiger behaviorist who believes that Montecore was trying to help Roy. Not one. It goes against everything science knows about these animals. But you can go on believing in magical human-tiger connections if you wish, that's fine. Just know that it matters because all the lies are the reason why there's so much suspicion now. Don't you get it? Their explanations make no sense and because of that, they've been robbed of their chance to go out in a dignified manner. I care because I believe they deserved better.
