Like I said, it's the closest we are going to get. Like most cities, what once was sprawl becomes central and convenient as the cities geography changes, but it is dishonest to compare the endless fields of tile roofed temporary housing to a patch-work of customs and bungalows built over three decades. I should snap up a foreclosed home in Southern Highlands now before it's too late. It MIGHT have something going for it in 50 years too! Hell, I can just picture biking to flourishing downtown Sloan...
ucsb1990, what is "disingenuous or delusional" is assuming that applying the same culture of fear to neighborhoods over 50 years old to half-empty developments on the fringes of the valley is in any way constructive. Live in a real city for a while, and you'll understand. Downtown is as close as we are going to get to San Fran. For those of us that choose to live here, enough said. Enjoy your P.T.'s!
Shouldn't that read a "one-stop shop for douchebaggery"? Seriously, you could run this article in "The Onion". It's as though someone who deeply despises the Vegas club-goer designed this place for maximum comedic effect. I mean nothing says "sexy elegance" like mirrors, right? I just hope they have DJ Jim Jones mixing the house punch.
