Oh. My. God.

Brock, you poor thing! I've too have pulled 13-hour shifts at the Carnival World Buffet but that was as an assistant manager there and it was a lifetime ago (7 years). But boy did you bring back the memories (nightmares?). Pizza, pasta and prime rib--I went home nightly smelling like them all. And I bet you can't guess where I also ate my shift meals! Thank you for the trip down memory lane. :) Xania

PS: We soooo didn't have gelato! I'm jealous...

I hear ya! My best guess regarding the competitions we all love so much is that the clubs will now begin to "hire" go-go and pole dance contestants as independent contractors for a night, thereby making them--for the moment, anyway--staff. That would get around the ban in a fairly legit fashion. Then sin can proceed in this city as God and the Rat Pack intended! ;)

Don't forget to bring your iPod when you stay on the Strip for the odd Vegas Staycation. Most new or newly-renovated rooms include an iPod doc and those five-star showers and million-dollar views are made all the better by your personal soundtrack!

From your lips to God's ears, rediknight! And I too miss Ice Nightclub. Let's hope for more talent in the New Year, and less filler. And I hope you get to see your DJs in 2010, all of them! :)

I'm not one for getting into these comment arguments so I'll simply provide an answer to your questions and leave it at that. The reason I wrote this is because the clubs usually only announce their "talent" (yes, sometimes, that is a very strong word for it!) lineups one weekend at a time. People have said to me that it is frustrating to know when to splurge on a big night out when someone way better (and actually more talented...) might be just around the corner. So, since I happened to for once have the new club's entire schedule at my fingertips, I thought it would be helpful for locals and tourists alike who might be wanting to plan their first visit to the biggest new club opening this New Year's Eve to have the same info I do. That's it! :) X

Thank you! I've been dying to know who or what was behind those billboards for over a year now. I drive past it one way or another practically every day. And there's no place quite so godless as the I-15 during rush hour!

UPDATE! | It now looks as though Cabo Wabo may be grand opening in early December with a soft opening about three weeks prior.

Head south on Las Vegas Blvd. from Mandalay Bay. At Sunset, just before Town Square Mall, make a right. Make a right on Windy St. and it will be on your right about a block down.
