hello Steve! Well, i understood your post. I think what happened that day (2003) was an end of an era. It really was like September 11th. After this incident, the old Vegas has left forever. No more shows with safety issues. After that, no one can do a show with 300% guarantee of safety (even if for some reasons some accidents happens). I saw the ABC special, and even not being a fan of Sieg and Roy, and seeing all the cheesy show that was, i could not hold my tears when Sieg said what he realized when the billboard was taken off the Mirage. That really moved me. Taking the billboard of the Mirage was like Sieg realizing that his life had changed forever. Imagine passing by the storm of having your longlife partner almost dying in front of you, and being so busy with all the events that you had no time to think about what happened. And suddenly, you notice that your show has ended in one second and your partner is recovering very slow. I don't know if i would have such power to pass thru all this. All the glamour, the extravaganza, the money... and what really had left was you, your partner and your life. My god... Long life to Sieg and Roy, they really deserve all the best, despite the efforts to hide the truth.
