I was in vegas for 5 nights and despite the variety of entertainment, the only thing that I made sure of was that I would see Penn & Teller.

I loved every minute of their show. We showed up at the requested time and there was a stage viewing where the audience was invited up to the stage to look at a wooden box and sign an envelope. I chuckled at this knowing that it was likely a prank on the audience as they played with the box, took pictures of the box, and tapped all around it. There was an excellent jazz pianist playing with a very well established acoustic bass player (Penn) and some noticed, some didn't.

Sure enough, the box was part of the show. When the show began, Tellar climbed out of it. That was a great social effect. The envelope was used for another social effect later as well when demonstrating the power of mind reading.

I see that in the day of social networking, P&T are taking advantage of social illusion to a great level. This was demonstrated quite well.

My favourite moments were when Teller did his bits. The shadow flower only took up 3 minutes of the show but it was brilliant. The ball was just unmatchable.

Thank you for the article as it really is worth reading.
