To all potential landlords and "tenants". Be careful not to front ANY money to Calvin Leslie for services he hasn't FULLY performed. He will request money upfront (before the landlord get his checks from the tenants) and give you the run around once he is paid. I made the mistake of allowing him to provide tenants for one of my rental properties (and why not, it sounded almost too good to be true), and he made it sound like he had people lined up) and needless to say it was a huge disaster. I have since talked to Social Services and other landlords that Calvin has dealt with, and I wish I had done so before agreeing to do business with him. Main thing is do not pay him a penny (no matter how much he insists on a full or partial payment) until AFTER you have everyone's rents in your hand, not a minute before.
If anyone has dealt with Calvin Leslie or C&L property management and has been misguided in any way, please contact me. I am trying to put together a list of landlords/tenants and their complaints to be forwarded to the proper authorities.
