Sad to say...all that is said about Pie Town Pizza's deep dish pizza is off the mark. The crust is without body and tasteless. The sausage on my sausage and mushroom model was bland. The the cheese had the taste and consistency of a "Walmart-special-of-week" pizza. Only the tomatoes exhibited a tangy bite. Any similiarity between what I ordered and an honest to god Chicago pizza is purely coincidental. I will continue my search for the taste of Chicago I have been seeking since moving here thirty years ago. Addedum: On a previous visit I had an acceptable Italian beef. Minor annoyances; the gravey was watery and with much seasoned taste and the giardiniera cut much to large. One more visit at a later date to try the "dogs". One out of three may be ok. Just thought you would like to know.
