E.Mandisa here, yes I arrived late Saturday night from San Diego, but was in TIME to participate as a panelist on the hip hop and spirituality segment on Sunday.

I was disappointed, not necessarily "bummed" that the panel was only for an hour and we were not able to get into as deep of a discussion on "personal" individual spiritual growth as I would have liked.

I was also disappointed that two of my colleagues who sat on the panel were not allowed to have input into the discussion beyond initially introducing themselves.

Their initial introduction and answer to the question "How does spirituality play into hip hop" was so "intense" that I wish the audience could have heard more from these powerfully enlightened brothers.

In the future I would hope that the convention start out with the spirtual panel, to set the tone and vision for the entire convention. Every successful movement has been grounded in some kind of spiritual principle as a foundation.

I also hope in the future that we have "experienced" facilitators that know how to field questions from the audience and who don't spend alot of time talking about themselves and their own personal and organizational accomplishments.
