I just moved here from Florida and have been a bartender for years. I also have experienced the dread when someone asks what I do for a living. Most often I get the comment "when are you gonna get a real job" as if waiting on you isn't real work.Maybe not in Vegas, but for sure in Florida, people look at bartenders as cheap slutty girls who are too dumb for any other job and take home a new guy every nite. Little do people realize we make good money and have fairly easy hours. We do work hard and put up with ALOT of sh@t. I feel your pain, but be proud you are able to do this for a great living....you could be me and not be able to find work due to your old age of 40 in this town.
