gimme a call when ur in town; i'll take ya. ;)
So curious what happend with Edwards. That guy performs in Vegas all the time...
THanks, RediKnight. What PUA lines did you use (few as they may be)? Hmmm....this sounds odd...that the girls picked up you...are you SURE you didn't subconsciously pick them up? Maybe you were doing more than you realized....
There was this dentist on my street who gave out toothbrushes. Gross.
Thanks, Dude. Yeah, I sometimes come off as the weird guy too. Less and less (since moving to Vegas...cause I think there are so many BIGGER 'characters' here), but..yeah.
And thanks, Mega, I'll google that Feel the Fear book.
Casual, went salsa dancing once, and I go so intimidated by everybody else...maybe time to go back.....
Yeah, you can definitely go overboard with the PUA stuff. I forgot which book I read this in (Mystery Method? The Game? Layguide?)"but the author pointed out that the best thing a PUA can do is get a hobby/business aside from pickup up women. You're right, you CAN forget how to be normal.
Sounds like we're on the same page with a lot of stuff. I would be curious to hear more about your story, but I don't see myself writing about the PUA community in the near future (unless there's a really exciting development, you know?)
So what do you do now with all the time you used to spend learning to pick up women?
Hi Mega,
Four years sounds like a good amount of time to be in the PUA community. (I didn't explain this in the story, but PUA is short for "Pickup Artist.") It sounds like you really grew within the community. But even though you abandoned the lines and the routines now, would you say it was something you had to go through? I mean, surely the lines and the routines gave you some of the courage to approach girls (knowing you'd have something to say), and then, once you realized that you had the courage within you, you didn't need the lines and routines any more"right? Seems like the same thing happened with Neil Strauss"his journey and yours seem right on"go into the community, learn about women and about yourself, and then get out of there and move on and grow.
Cremation rate 64-70 percent?!?!?!?!
Ry, I hereby declare you the KIng of the Mid-Gamers. Cheers to you! I've never done a flask myself...I'd be too afraid of getting kicked out (plus, it's illegal to bring a flask, but legal to midgame). As far as your cousin saying it was "wrong," well, I'd be curious to hear what, precisely, she meant by that.
Thanks for reading!
