We need more people like Phil Ruffin owning casinos. These corporate casino entities are killing Vegas! People like Ruffin and Wynn give a property a sense of character and brand loyalty like old school Vegas. Harrahs and MGM on the other hand create a sense of blandness. They are down right dull! Maybe Harrahs and MGM can do Vegas a favor and sell off another couple of their properties to some independents.

Good call on booking this by the Wynn people. I am no marketing guru but it seems to me that quality live entertainment is what will draw people to Vegas. Though there are a good line of shows coming up there could be a lot more. This would really help in bringing back the economy here. Entertainment and marketing people as well as casino big whigs, are you listening? People will travel for live music it doesn't matter what the genre is. We need more shows!
