The hip hop scene in Vegas is now changing.
We need more people from the outside to see the vision that the locals see from the inside.

This is not the first and this will not be the last place hip hop will be reinvented, but hip hop has been reinvented in Las Vegas, NV. This is thanks to the people that come from other places and see how Vegas desperately needs hip hop as a culture.

Y.A. Poet and the Las Vegas Allstars would first like to thank, Damon Hodge (a former writer of the LV Weekly) for opening doors. Secondly, we would like to thank Jeni and Todd for providing us with 110% of their support and believing in the movement. With these three people working for one company, they are not only making history, but they are documenting the pioneers of Las Vegas Hip Hop as we speak. We need more writers to support the Urban Las Vegas.

This lets locals know, as well as anyone from out of town, that the Las Vegas Weekly is for the people because it is by the people.
