When We Were Young, the annual festival that reunited our favorite emo and pop-punk bands, has postponed its next edition to October 2027.
In a social media post, festival organizers said:
“To our When We Were Young family, the songs, the memories, the moments—none of it exists without you. After an unforgettable run in Las Vegas, we’ve decided to take 2026 off to give this festival the care it deserves and to make sure what comes next feels just as special as what came before.”
The nostalgic fest debuted at the Las Vegas Festival Grounds in 2022, following record-setting ticket sales that forced When We Were Young to extend its run into the weekend. Since then, every edition has sold out. Over the years, top-billing artists like Green Day, Paramore, Avril Lavigne, Panic! At the Disco, Jimmy Eat World, The Used and My Chemical Romance have performed at the festival.
"Thank you for showing up with your whole hearts every year," the post said. "This isn't goodbye—it's just a pause."
