We love Morrissey, but man that felt short

If you paid $55 for a floor ticket to Friday night's show at the Joint, you spent

* 92 cents per minute (60)

* $3.06 per song (18)

Morrissey @The Joint

* $11 per Smiths song (5: "This Charming Man," "Ask," "Cemetry Gates," "Is It Really So Strange?," "How Soon Is Now?")

* $9.17 per gong-bash during "How Soon Is Now?" (6)

* $55 per chest-baring shirt removal (1)

* an indeterminate amount per encore ... since dividing by zero is impossible

I suppose it might be worth it just to hear "How Soon Is Now" live, but still, why just 60 minutes when he has such a huge repertoire of great songs?

On the other hand, he's not as young as he used to be. I still can't get used to seeing Morrissey as a middle-aged man.

Now, to see Morrissey reunited with Johnny Marr, $55 for 60 minutes would be a bargain.
